You better understand I can't be your man I can't hold your hand Don't come around here again Cause I can't stand it any longer The way you been mistreatin' me Don't you try to pretend Don't lie to yourself You know this is the end Sad but true Baby, whats the matter? Whats the matter with you?

Every time I come around you, darlin' I tend to misbehave Every time I'm near you, honey I tend to act depraved But when we get together You know my soul will be saved Just because you think your pretty Don't mean you may run my soul Just because you know you're pretty, baby Don't mean you may have control Cause you may be good looking But your nothing like rock 'n' roll

SHALLOW END DIVERS, THE:
Demo ‘11: CD-R
Seven-song demo EP from this Boston area band. These six dudes live in close proximity to my secret bunker location. I was a bit shell shocked at first since the demo came in a brown paper bag. Like, was someone’s soggy sandwich in this previously? Oh well, it’s what inside that counts. Noisy “Nuggets”-style rock that kicks like Tabasco sauce in your beer. I’m pretty sure there is even some kind of wild glockenspiel action on the second song! Heartfelt and brawny; looking forward to more stuff from these rock and roll daredevils. –Sean Koepenick (Self-released, shallowdivers11@gmail.com)

Who is this greater Boston group exactly? They sure amuse with their primitive art skills submission. An unfolded plain brown paper bag with logo and title on one side affixed with four pieces of scotch tape and the same on the other side with the seven song titles. I was looking for a sandwich, apple slices and some Fig Newtons inside instead of a disc. The music for today's lunch fare? I like the truly badly basement recorded snarling, animalistic chest beating wild proto psych opening Don't Come Around Here, Almost Smooth, On the Move like the heretofore unknown spawn of the 13th Floor Elavators, Sonics, Seeds, Lyres, and A-Bones. Sounds like a party. The others are more hippy-groovy, like Love and The Chambers Brothers got stoned to play lounge blues jams with a sleepy Hendrix. Err... Dive in. - Jack Rabid/ Big Takeover Magazine.

The songs sound good but the sound quality isn't so good. Not to be an ass, but kind of like it was recorded in the bathroom.- Joanie Lindstrom / WHRB-Harvard Radio
